"The DaVinci Code: Fact, Fiction, or More?"
The controversy related with the DaVinci Code novel by Dan Brown and the movie
directed by Ron Howard has the media talking about these thing and our Lord and
Savior, Jesus Christ. WOW! What an opportunity we have with the DaVinci Code
Movie coming out in May to share the good news.
So, what is the fuss all about the DaVinci Code? Is it good fiction?
Is it based upon FACTS? Is it an attack on Christianity or more specifically
an attack on the Catholic Church? Who is Dan Brown? Is the Christian Church
making too much of an issue? OR is this the next best opportunity to share the
good news of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? Is this an opportunity to learn
early Church History and how we got the Bible? The
Huntsville,
Alabama Reasons To Believe Chapter and
Rocket Science
Ministries have developed a presentation to address all of these questions.
Jonathan Fisher's presentation "The DaVinci Code: Fact, Fiction, or More?"
describes the basic tenets of author Dan Brown's latest novel The DaVinci Code,
gives a brief biography of the author and assesses the historicity of his
assertions on the Council of Nicea, the origin of the Bible, and so-called
"competing Christianities." Some questions addressed are "Why is The DaVinci
Code important?" and "Is this an attack on Christianity or just a good fiction?"
Dr. Fisher will give this presentation at the June meeting of the
Huntsville,
Alabama Reasons To Believe Chapter at 7pm on June 1, 2006 at
Whitesburg Baptist Church in Huntsville, Alabama. For more details, contact us
